In the Tacoma, Washington area?

If you live in or around the Tacoma, Washington area, then there's a show you need to see tonight.

True story? Is it really?
Comedian Jay Hollingsworth's "True Story" is a live show featuring comedians telling their jokes on stage followed by Jay and the comedian dissecting the comedy bit's true origins. Jay wants to find out what the REAL story is behind the material. Jay's guests this show are Jubal Flagg, Mitch Burrow, Nigel Larson and Phil Fox. It all goes down at 8:00 tonight at the Tacoma Comedy Club933 Market St, Tacoma, Washington.

Who's Jay Hollingsworth?
“Big Irish” Jay Hollingsworth started his stand-up career in Boston, MA where he was recently named “Best Comedy Export” by the readers of the Boston Examiner. Since leaving Massachusetts, Jay has starred in the movie Comics BBQ and has been a finalist in multiple comedy competitions including the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition, The Shades of Laughs Comedy Competition, Magners USA Comedy Festival and the Bend International Comedy Competition.

Jay is the creator and host of the hit live show True Story which features comedians presenting their stand-up, followed by a take-no-prisoners Q&A that examines which elements are true and what’s been manipulated for comedic effect. By fusing the forensic with the funny, Hollingsworth illuminates the back-stories behind the tall tales, offering a rare glimpse inside the craftsmanship of comedy. The True Story show has been featured at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival as well as the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival.

As a featured guest on some of the top rated podcasts in the country – including multiple appearances on Greg Fitzsimmon’s Fitzdog Radio and Doug Benson’s Doug Loves Movies – Jay has made his mark as a comics’ comic. He made a special appearance on Benson’s Doug Loves Movies: Live In the PacificNorthwest podcast, which rose to #1 on the iTunes comedy album chart. In 2012 Jay started his own podcast entitled The HollingsWorthless Podcast which has been met with rave reviews.
